Planet Abundance creative workshops
Planet Abundance is a series of artist led interlocal workshops taking place in Scotland, Colombia, Germany, India and Japan. We will be using Teresa Feldman's feminist science fiction script for "Planet Abundance" to imagine a world where billionaires and current power elites have left Earth, leaving behind a world lead by women*. In this feminist world, we collectively organise planetary and people care through feminist economic principles. In a world now freed from the once dominant ethos of greed and competition, Earthlings adopt a feminist abundance mind-set, finding new and old ways to work together in repairing their world.

In Glasgow, the workshops will be led by artist Ailie Rutherford along with environmental campaigner, trans rights activist and local councillor Elaine Gallagher. Two evening workshops on 12th & 19th August will take place at Category Is Books queer independent bookshop inviting a small group of participants to collectively imagine Planet Abundance

This is a feminist workshop and Planet Abundance is a FLINTA** space so priority for places will be given to those who identify as women* and non-binary. Please let us know something about your gender identity when booking a place.
Please only book if you are able to attend both Friday workshops as this is a two-part event.

*inclusive of transgender and intersex women as well as non-binary and gender fluid people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experience of women
** FLINTA is an abbreviation in German which stands for: Frauen/Women, Lesbians, Intersex People, Non-binary people, Trans* people, Agender

We have an access budget available and participants can claim £10/hr remuneration for their time in each two hour workshop. Participants should be able to attend both dates as this is a two-part workshop.
Please also let us know if you have any access needs or what we can do to make this workshop comfortable and accessible for you.
